About Erasmus+ project
Erasmus+ is a European Union program in the field of education, training, youth, and sport – it is a continuation of European educational programs implemented since 1998. Its aim is to support students, teachers, lecturers, and volunteers in conducting international projects to improve their competencies. Therefore, public and private institutions and organizations supporting formal education as well as non-formal and informal learning for people of all ages are also eligible to participate in the program. The European budget for the program for the years 2021-2027 is 26.2 billion euros. With the new financial perspective, the assumptions of Erasmus+ have been expanded, which has made it more innovative, inclusive, and digital. It will also be crucial for the planned creation of the European Education Area by 2025, which the European Union intends to provide all young people with access to education and training of the highest quality, enable easy movement between education systems in different countries, and give them the opportunity to find work throughout Europe. The National Agency for the Erasmus+ Program and its implementer in Poland is the Foundation for the Development of the Education System.
